Emu Timbers was developed by Michael Enderby to make it easy for Architects, Builders and Owner Builders to choose, specify and purchase Recycled, Sustainable and FSC Certified timbers along with FSC Certified timber windows and doors.

Emu Timbers sources timbers from various regionally located mills and sites around the country locating specifictimber productsto ensure the end result meets the client’s requirements. The aim is to provide a reliable and cost competitive supply of Recycled, Sustainable and FSC Certified timbers together with FSC Certified timber windows and doors while at the same time supporting and promoting regional businesses

Too often good design is compromised because of the lack of readily available Sustainable timbers and timber products. Emu Timbers makes choosing, costing, specifying and purchasing Sustainable timber and timber products so much easier.

Emu Timbers was established as a ‘one stop shop’ for Recycled, Sustainable and FSC Certified timbers and timber products, including timber windows and doors, flooring, decking, cladding and feature posts and beams.

The Principal of Emu Timbers, Michael Enderby grew up in sawmilling on the NSW Central Coast. After completing a Degree in Economics and a Graduate Diploma in Marketing he had a successful career in corporate Building Supplies companies working in such areas as sawmilling, glass, plumbing, roofing as well as timber windows and doors.

While Managing the Sydney Building Centre and the Building Bookshop he developed a passion for Architecture and design

Having been a committed surfer all his life Michael has maintained and developed an interest in environmental issues and sees Emu Timbers as a way to contribute more to a sustainable environment.
